Christine Warrix, Acupuncturist
I believe in bridging the gap between Eastern and Western medicine. Both disciplines have their strengths and weaknesses but a patient can be their healthiest by utilizing both. I work with each patient to develop an individual treatment protocol specific to their needs. My mission is to give my patients the highest quality of care.
I have over 20 + years of bodywork experience. I have an Associate Degree in Dental Technology and worked as a dental tech/assist for 14 years. I then decided to change my career and went to school for massage therapy at Lakeside School of Massage Therapy, and worked in the field for 14 years at Wheaton Francian St Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. I really enjoyed working as a massage therapist but once I experienced Acupuncture after having knee surgery, I felt that I needed to do Acupuncture as my career. I attended Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, WI and received a Bachelor’s in Nutrition and a Master’s in Oriental Medicine in 2013. I started my Acupuncture career at Wheaton Franciscan Elmbrook Hospital where I worked on the general public and also with the cancer care center. I have also completed training in NADA (which is a protocol to work with PTSD), acupuncture for cancer care at MD Anderson in Houston, TX., menopausal transition and a certificate in facial rejuvenation.
After living and working most of my life in Wisconsin, my husband and I had the opportunity to move to Asheville, NC. I did practice in Asheville and had which my office in a physical therapy clinic that worked with patients with brain trauma. Even though we enjoyed the mountains, it still snowed there. We decided that we needed to move to the beach. In 2017 we moved to John’s Island and have fallen in love with this area. My favorite things about the Low Country is it’s the deep history, beaches, and being able to garden all year long. We plan to make this our home for a long time.
